2006 – 2017

The updated  logo introduces the slogan “Invent the Future” below the main text. The shield emblem remains, but the book symbol is now crimson. The font for “Virginia Tech” has been slightly modernized, yet retains its classic serif style. The addition of the slogan emphasizes the university’s forward-thinking mission. The overall design maintains a clean and professional appearance, enhancing brand identity.

2017 – Today

The latest  logo adopts a modern, minimalist design. It features a bold “VT” monogram in crimson, without the shield emblem. The university name “VIRGINIA TECH” is displayed below in bright orange, using a clean, sans-serif font. This new logo emphasizes simplicity and strong visual impact, moving away from the traditional serif font and detailed emblem. The design underscores Virginia Tech’s progressive and dynamic identity.
